Born in Pasadena and currently residing in Culver City, Kasim is inspired by our oppresive urban environment. He feels that it is his duty to expose us to the light and life of
the city that is so often overlooked by us all. Kasim has 12 years of experience in photography and currently works as a professional photographer.
 

Whats your favorite hangout?

My favorite hangout is Venice Beach. There's always some interesting stuff going on there.


How long have you been a photographer? 

I have been shooting for 12 years total. The last two professionally


What equipment do you use?

A  Canon 30D and a Nikon D300


What do you love most about your medium?

I like the timeless quality of a photograph. A good picture speaks more than a thousand words.


Have you/are you curious to try any other mediums? 

Im currently experimenting with mixed media. I like to incorporate objects relating to the  photo into or around the frame or print.

Who/what inspires you?

Everyday life and the people in it. Can't forget music too.


What's your passion?

My passion is being creative and trying to develop my own style


What is your favorite thing about LA? 

My favorite thing about LA is the variety of cultures, people and locations.

 Some of my favorite artist's are  Flewnt Sevens, Juan Carlos, John Noone, Gordon Parks,  Ansel Adams, Revok, Vyal, Mephisto Jones

What do you see yourself doing 5 years from now?

I see myself taking pictures in different cities around the world.


What is one word that you would use to inspire others?

Believe


Is there anything else you're like to share with us?

I would like to give thanks to everyone that has helped me get to where im at today. Big ups to everyone who strives to be different in a world of clones.  Peace!
